We are seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Worker to join our dedicated Capability Development Team here in Doncaster.
This is a permanent post and will involve manufacturing detailed parts and assemblies within a production facility, working to fine tolerances.
The role’s key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Manufacture and assemble aircraft sheet metal components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out forming, bending, drilling, countersinking, deburring and riveting of metallic and non-metallic components.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, work instructions and technical documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Part 21 Subpart G procedures and company quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Follow all Health, Safety and SMS (Safety Management System) requirements within the facility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
The following skills, knowledge and experience are essential for this role:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in an aerospace engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications.
- Experience with aircraft structures, brackets, panels, racking or similar fabricated assemblies.
- Knowledge of aerospace fasteners, riveting techniques and sheet metal forming.
- Experience working within regulated aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100 or Part 21) is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
